Native Plant Talk 

Saturday 4/11/2026 at 9am at WBU in Kettering

Deeply Rooted Landscapes will be giving a talk on native plants and how you can turn your yard into a habitat for the birds, insects and pollinators! Plants will also be available for sale the following week. This is a great time to plan out your garden and get tips from the experts!

Earth Day Recycling Event 

4/16/26 thru 4/22/26 (Earth Day!)

We are proud to continue our partnership with the Cincinnati Recycling and Reuse Hub to recycle our WBU seed bags!
We searched for years for a way to recycle our bags and are thrilled to have finally found a solution. Cincinnati Reuse and Recycling Hub takes our bags and send them to NexTrex to be repurposed into various composite products such as decking.

Thanks to your help, WBU in Kettering and Huber Heights recycled over 2100 pounds of plastic in 2025!

We've set a goal for 2026 to supass 2500 pounds of recycled plastic, and we will need your help!

Join us in celebrating our partnership by bringing your seed bags in to be recycled!

Birding Walks with Debbie

Beavercreek Wetlands will be hosting our birdwalks this year! The walks are free but you must register on the Beavercreek Wetlands website. The walks will be led by Debbie from WBU in Kettering. She has been an avid birder since 1978 and has a vast amount of knowledge that she loves to share!. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear, preferably hiking boots/shoes and bring your binoculars!
